Sorting items for the free store or working in the store to assist residents. Families and young adults living at the Hope Place homeless shelter have access to a free store for items that they need while living at the shelter or when preparing to leave the shelter to move into an apartment. This will be sorting donations that will go into the store. There may also be an opportunity to work in the store to assist the residents. Both of these volunteer opportunities are coordinated through Jen, the Donations Coordinator, at 386-317-5886.

Our pantry servants divide the food into "dry boxes" and "frozen boxes". Dry boxes are made up of non-perishable goods such as rice, beans, chips, canned food and other miscellaneous non-refrigerated food. Frozen boxes are frozen meat, bread and various bakery items. The dry boxes are neatly stacked on pallets in our 4,000 sq ft warehouse, and the frozen boxes are stored in our freezer. At this point, the boxes are ready for delivery.

We care about our local community! Join us for a free breakfast, groceries, and prayer. Bring a car full of friends and family, and let our Gathering Place food truck and outreach team serve you a free breakfast. Event takes place on the third Saturday of the month. *Groceries are available while resources last. Pre-registration is not available. A photo ID is required to pick up free groceries.

We care about our community - and we want to share our mission of feeding those who are hungry, those who desire a bit of fellowship and company during a meal, or those who want the community of being together. Our program, is supported by churches, community groups such as Gifts of Love and God's Bathhouse, and businesses around New Smyrna Beach.
