Visitation House Inc., a nonprofit organization in DeLand, FL, was founded in 2007 by members of St. Peters Catholic Church. In 2015, we became a free-standing 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides a safe, secure, and caring environment for pregnant women in crisis and prepares them for self-sufficiency. We operate a small, private residential living facility in West Volusia County that can house eight women and five babies concurrently. We accept women without regard to race, nationality, or religion. ‘The Visitation’ refers to Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth’s home in the hillside. Mary had just discovered her pregnancy by the Holy Spirit and learned of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, who was considered too old to conceive. Mary and Elizabeth shared great joy over their pregnancies, despite the challenges they faced. “When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and exclaimed with a loud cry, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.” Luke 1:41-42 https://visitationhousedeland.org/about-us/

After experiencing addiction that lead to homelessness, brokenness and hopelessness. Ray & Susan Kelley had a radical experience with God and immediately were compelled to go back to those that they used to be and help as many as possible find freedom, hope and a new life. It all started on North St 15 years ago in a little yellow building on the corner, the original outreach center. Ray & Susan took the 7 people that attended their first meeting home with them that night and their discipleship program (the 28:20 project) began. From there more people came home with them which lead to more houses. 3 years later a thrift store was added then a coffee shop on Beach St.

This confirms they have a home address in the town we are delivering to. On the day of the giveaway, the recipients drive in a traffic controlled line, where our pantry servants place the food boxes in their vehicles. Giveaways are first come first serve and are finished within one hour. We go to each location once a month, and feed around 120 families every delivery. Our pantry servants divide the food into "dry boxes" and "frozen boxes". Dry boxes are made up of non-perishable goods such as rice, beans, chips, canned food and other miscellaneous non-refrigerated food. Frozen boxes are frozen meat, bread and various bakery items. The dry boxes are neatly stacked on pallets in our 4,000 sq ft warehouse, and the frozen boxes are stored in our freezer. At this point, the boxes are ready for delivery
