This request is to preserve the kinship placement of a twelve-year-old boy who has been recently sheltered with his great aunt. While the aunt is doing all she can to smoothen the transition of her nephew into her care, she is needing our assistance for this particular item. Due to the newness of the placement, there is no funding coming into the home at this time. One of the programs we offer at our agency is called level 1 and to achieve licensure, the caregiver is required to have a fire escape ladder if they live in an apartment/ or have a two story. For the caregiver to acquire these useful benefits, this item being met would offset a great financial burden and further stabilize this placement so available funds can be routed to other needs such as food/bills.
A grocery giftcard has also been placed to help with the upcoming summer food expenses. The caregiver would be most grateful as she awaits further funding!
