One Volusia is a movement dedicated to seeing the Church united for the flourishing of Volusia County. We believe that when churches, ministries, nonprofits, businesses, and community leaders work together, they can have a greater impact than any one organization could accomplish alone. Our mission is to build meaningful relationships, cultivate collaboration, and create opportunities for people to pray, worship, serve, and lead together in ways that demonstrate the love of Christ throughout our communities.
Through countywide initiatives such as collaborative worship gatherings, prayer movements, service projects, leadership development, and shared resources, One Volusia helps connect people across denominational, cultural, and organizational boundaries. We exist to strengthen what God is already doing by encouraging partnership rather than competition, empowering local leaders, and supporting new Kingdom initiatives that bless our region.
Our vision is to see every person in Volusia County transformed as followers of Jesus and living out their faith together—serving their neighbors, caring for those in need, and sharing the hope of the Gospel. We believe unity is not simply an idea but a lived expression of God’s Kingdom, and we invite everyone to join us in becoming part of what God is doing across Volusia County.

Core Beliefs
- – God is three-in-one: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
- – Jesus died and rose again for the forgiveness of sins.
- – Forgiveness for sins is by grace through faith in Jesus.
- – The Bible is completely true.
- – The historic teachings of the church as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed and the Nicene Creed.
Core Commitments
- – Prayer, praise, and personal relationships as given to us in the Bible – 1 Timothy 2:1, Psalm 150:6
- – The first and second great commandments – Matthew 22:36-40
- – Biblical unity as expressed by Jesus in His prayer – John 17:23
- – Humility and turning from our wicked ways as expressed in 2 Chronicles 7:14
Core
Key issues central to the Christian faith that cannot be compromised or the gospel itself is compromised.
Examples: The Trinity, The Deity of Christ, salvation by faith in Christ, the truth and authority of the Bible.
Creed
Our unique understanding of what the Bible teaches about important, but less central issues of faith. We can be brothers and sisters with those who share the core of faith, but do not necessarily share our creed.
Examples: Role of Women, Church Government, the Role of the Holy Spirit, understanding of sacraments/ordinances, understanding of baptism.
Convictions
Personal interpretations of scripture that Christians will certainly differ about. We must lovingly accept convictions that are different from our own, as long as they do not obviously go against God’s word.
Examples: schooling, entertainment, use of alcohol, political preferences.
