We have been working with a single mom of two young children (ages 5 and 11 months) who recently found the courage to leave an abusive relationship and is now working to rebuild a safe and stable life for her family. This transition, while necessary, has brought significant financial and logistical challenges, including missed work and difficulty keeping up with basic household expenses.
She is a skilled carpenter who depends on her truck to store and transport the tools required for her work. At the moment, her truck is out of service due to a transmission issue. Although a replacement transmission has been secured, the cost of professional installation is currently out of reach.
She is determined to complete the repair herself, but the task requires assistance. Specifically, she needs someone willing to help lift and hold the transmission in place while she installs it. She is not asking for financial help—only for a small amount of time and physical assistance to safely complete the job.
Restoring her truck would allow her to return to work, support her children, and continue building a stable and independent future.
