This participant is a single mother of two daughters, ages 16 and 5, who is doing everything she can to keep her family safe and together. Due to financial hardship, the family is currently living in a motel, and the mother is working diligently to maintain stable housing for her children.
With the high cost of temporary lodging, nearly all of her income goes toward keeping a roof over their heads. This leaves little to no funds for basic necessities such as clothing and hygiene items. Assistance with these essential needs would allow the mother to redirect more of her limited resources toward housing, helping her work toward stability for her family.
Meeting these needs will not only provide immediate relief but will also help preserve the family’s dignity and support the well-being of two growing children during a very challenging season.
