This request is made with the intention of safekeeping the kinship placement of a one-year-old boy who’s been recently sheltered with his aunt. The aunt is currently managing the household bills while also caring for her own newborn baby, leaving her stretched thin as she tries to meet the needs of both kiddoes.
One of the most urgent needs at this time is a highchair for the little boy. Having this would make daily mealtimes far easier, safer, and less stressful for the caregiver, allowing her to properly feed him while still tending to her newborn. In addition, the caregiver is in need of size 5 diapers (any brand, though unscented wipes would be especially helpful to avoid skin irritation). These items may seem simple, but they will provide significant relief, ensuring the child’s basic needs are met and giving the caregiver some much-needed support during this overwhelming time.
