I am working with a family in which the mother is a survivor of recent domestic violence. The father is currently incarcerated and does not live in the home. The household includes three children, ages 8, 9, and 14. Over the weekend, their refrigerator broke, and they were forced to throw out all of their food. I will be reaching out to local food banks for assistance; however, the family currently has no way to store perishable items. We are requesting urgent help in securing a replacement refrigerator for the family as soon as possible. Once a fridge is in place, we can then work with food pantries to restock food as needed.
The mother is not employed at this time, and the family has limited resources. Any immediate assistance would be greatly appreciated.
