The youth has been in foster care for about 3 years. Unfortunately the youth has not been able to find his footing and has been in 8 foster placements. The youth is a 12 year old male who is now living with a new family, in a different city and starting new middle school! Last week the youth was introduced to a family that could be interested in adopting him. Since meeting with the family, the youth has been expressing negative behaviors, without using his words. The youth told me today that he thinks that a punching bag and gloves might help. He has taken Karate classes while in a previous placement.
