This Army veteran sought assistance through Hope Florida for housing support, as well as essential household and hygiene items for herself, her husband, and their three children. We are happy to share that we were able to assist the family in securing permanent housing, including support with their deposit and rental assistance. Additionally, we provided a few starter household items and hygiene essentials to help them begin rebuilding.
We also assisted the husband in obtaining employment; however, he has since been let go after falling ill with the flu during his probationary period. While the family is actively seeking new income opportunities, they are still in need of additional support during this transition.
At this time, the family is in need of essential bedding items, including a box spring and frame for a king-size bed, as well as pillows and blankets for the children’s two full-size beds and the king-size bed.
We were able to have a portion of this request fulfilled; however, additional support is still needed. It would be amazing to complete this request to help this family have a successful and stable restart.
Providing these essential items will greatly assist this veteran and her family in achieving stability, comfort, and a sense of normalcy as they transition into permanent housing.
