In September of this year this 17 year old girl re entered the Group Home setting for Foster Care. Unfortunately she has outgrown much of her clothing and some of her personal items were lost to a flood. This child uses art to process her feelings and it also helps to keep her calm and relaxed. She’s smart, humble and very creative. When asked for a list of the items she thought were unusable or destroyed she humbly only sent a small list saying she didn’t want to appear greedy. After talking with her further she revealed a bigger need.
The clothing would help to enhance her self esteem as she is entering public school for the first time in years and the art supplies would serve as an outlet for her creativity. This older teenager has requested Size 9 Nike High Tops, XL bras and size 9 underwear as clothing basics.
She has an Amazon wish list created with specific items that can be provided upon request for her clothing, personal hygiene supplies and art supplies.
